Location 
Morton Lake Provincial Park is 27 km northwest of Campbell River in the Sayward Forest . The best way to reach Morton Lake is via Hwy 19. Turn off at the Menzies Main logging road about 10 minutes past the pulp mill. Follow the gravel Menzies Main for 12 km, and then take Morton Lake Road for another 7 km to the park.
Outdoor Activities Morton Lake is visitors can fill their days swimming, canoeing, boating or just lounging on the sandy beach at Morton Lake . Morton Lake Provincial Park includes all of Morton Lake and a section of the shoreline on neighboring Mohun Lake . Canoeing and kayaking is a popular activity in the park and Mohun Lake provides access to the Sayward Canoe Route ; which is a 47-kilometer paddle and portage circuit. Camping is situated right next to the lake. There is a boat launch available and a short hiking trail leads to Andrew Lake and a large picnic area. On Mohun Lake fishing for Dolly Varden, Rainbow & Cutthroat trout can be excellent. Picnicking The park has a large picnic area found at the entrance to the park at the west end of Morton Lake . It is perfect during the summer for spending a day on the sand or swimming in the warm water. There are picnic tables, a parking area, two change houses, pit toilets and an information shelter There is one, located at the intersection of the campground and day-use area. Camping Morton Lake Provincial Park has 24 non-serviced campsites. The campsites are located lakeside and provide a truly natural camping experience. There are pit toilets in the campground and a cold water hand pump located at the entrance. Prices and Seasons The prices for camping are seasonally adjusted to the provision of services. During the peak season camping fees are $16.00 per night and there is a second vehicle charge of $8.00. Additional sleeping units are permitted in an occupied campsite but there is a camping fee charge of $16.00. Shoulder season is May 1 to June 15 and after Labour Day to September 30 where the rate is $16.00 and seniors pay $8.00 per night. Peak season is June 16 to Labour Day where the rate is $16.00 and seniors pay $16.00 per night. Second vehicle charges are $8.00 per night with a campsite. BC seniors over 65 must provide a BC gold card to pay half price prior to June 15th and after Labour Day. During the peak season seniors pay full price. Fires Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings provided that a fire ban is not in effect. Firewood is provided to visitors and the cost is $7.00 per bundle or $18.00 for 3 bundles. It is illegal to burn wood or material from the forest because it is destructive and damages the protected ecosystems within the park. Nearby Parks For the same rustic experience Loveland Bay is just around the corner. Elk Falls is 20-30 minutes away.
