Location
Miracle Beach Provincial Park is located 22 km north of Courtenay and 22 km south of Campbell River off Hwy 19a. From Hwy 19 take exit #144 ( Hamm Road ) to Hwy 19 (the Oceanside Route ). Turn north a short distance to Miracle Beach Drive and then drive 2 km straight into the park.
Outdoor Activities
Hiking
There are 2 km of trails in the park. Trails start at the campground and day-use parking lots and weave through second-growth and some old-growth forest. Most of the trails begin at the north beach parking lot. A dog-walking trail is designated and accessible from the north beach parking lot.
Wildlife viewing
A viewing platform and fish weir are located on Black Creek at the entrance to the park. Wild Coho can be seen spawning in Black Creek in the fall.
Bird watching is also a rewarding activity for visitors especially in the estuary where Great Blue Herons are often seen. Throughout the park you may catch glimpses of Kingfishers, Eagles, Osprerys and Kestrels as well as woodpeckers and towhees. The sky is the limit.
There are rich tide pools on the beach. When the tide is low there is a showcase of a variety of marine invertebrates including purple shore crabs, clams, muscles, star fish, sand dollars and kelp isopods. Remember - all the critters in the park are protected, even shells must remain on the beach.

Day Use Activities
Facilities
This park has two day-use/picnic areas. The north and south parking lot's are adjacent to the beach. There is a picnic shelter overlooking the ocean. There are also picnic tables, change building with flush toilets and an information shelter. There is a large sandy beach at the park. The horizon consists of snow capped mountains and shimmering blue water. During the summer visitors can enjoy activities such as sandcastle building, sun tanning, swimming, and skim boarding, exploring tide pools or just frolicking along the shoreline. The north parking lot leads to nature trails, the Black Creek Estuary and the beach. Pit toilets and an info shelter are located at the parking lot.
Group-Picnic Shelter
The Park has a group picnic shelter for use beside the beach. The shelter contains picnic tables with adequate seating for about 60 people. There is also a wooden bar surrounding the entire shelter which allows additional guests to stand while enjoying the shelter. The shelter can be rented for $50.00 for the day by contacting www.discovercamping.ca or calling toll-free 1-800-689-9025.
Parking
Parking is only allowed in designated areas but is abundant and situated directly adjacent to the beach and picnic areas.
Camping
Drive-in campsites
Miracle Beach is world renowned for its secluded campground and clean facilities. Each of the 201 non-serviced campsites are located under a lush forest canopy. There are three flush washroom buildings located in the campground as well as a shower building. There are also water taps and pit toilets located throughout the campground. There is also an RV sani-station available to empty waste tanks and to refill water tanks. 
Group Camping
Groups with a minimum of 15 campers are able to reserve a group campsite by contacting Discover Camping at www.discovercamping.ca or calling toll-free 1-800-689-9025. The group site will accomodate up to 50 people or @10 camping units.
Prices and Seasons
The prices for camping are seasonally adjusted to the provision of services. During the peak season camping fees are $28.00 per night and there is a second vehicle charge of $12.00. Additional sleeping units are permitted in an occupied campsite but there is a camping fee charge of $28.00.
Winter season is October 1 to April 30, or until full services are resumed, rates are $11.00 for everyone. Shoulder season is April 1 to June 15 and after Labour Day to October 15 where the rate is $28.00 and seniors pay $14.00 per night. Winter rate begins on October 1 and is $11.00 per night for everyone.
Peak season is June 16 to Labour Day where the rate is $28.00 and seniors pay $28.00 per night. Second vehicle charges are $12.00 per night with a campsite.
BC seniors over 65 must provide a BC gold card to pay half price prior to June 15th and after Labour Day. During the peak season seniors pay full price.

Fires
Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings provided that a fire ban is not in effect. Firewood is provided to visitors and the cost is $7.00 per bundle or $18.00 for 3 bundles.It is illegal to burn wood or material from the forest because it is destructive and damages the protected ecosystems within the park.
